Donation-matching Program Launched To Help Hurricane Fiona Victims

The devastation of Hurricane Fiona has impacted many and now the Canadian government has established a donation-matching program with the Canadian Red Cross to help those who have been impacted.

The Government of Canada is planning on matching donations made to the Hurricane Fiona in Canada Appeal.

Those donations that are made by Canadians and corporations are expected to be matched up until to October 23, 2022.

There are a number of Atlantic Canadian homeowners who could be seeing some serious consequences of the hurricane, there are a myriad of costly damages that came along with the storm.

Some parts of Canada have been significantly hit from the hurricane with Eastern Canada seeing a lot of damage.

Donations For Canadian Fiona Victims

The storm meant that thousands of residents in Canada had experienced electricity going out and military personnel came in to the region to help as well with clearing debris and more.

The community has come out strong, with many already showing support and giving to those who have been impacted by the hurricane. Some business owners were giving hot food away for free to help those who were hungry. Various businesses have already pledged support for those Canadians who have been impacted.

Those who are looking for help have also been told that they can look to the government for some assistance too following the storm.
