London Drugs and recycling partners have kept over 113 million pounds of waste out of landfills around British Columbia.

They launched their What’s The Green Deal? to further enhance their recycling and sustainability efforts. They help Canadians to recycle things like batteries, phones, light bulbs, and other items.

They note on their site that they accept a variety of items if you have purchased them from London Drugs, otherwise they instruct going to your local recycling venue to dispose of it correctly.

There are also some limits to consider that apply per day, you can only recycle a certain amount of light bulbs, plastics, or other items. They join others like Best Buy who are also looking to do what they can to help protect and create a better environment with waste-conscious decisions in business that they are making.

Get rid of old electronics at Best Buy

Best Buy is another retailer that is helping Canadians to properly dispose of batteries and electronics. If you are looking for a place in Coquitlam to dispose of batteries or another area around Vancouver, then look to a Best Buy for help. Best Buy allows you to take those items in for recycling even if you didn’t buy them right from them originally, they still take them from you.

The recycling by Best Buy is a result of their partnership with Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) and Call2Recycle. Nordstrom has also launched their beauty take-back and recycling program known as Beautycycle.

They help Canadians to recycle things like hair gel tubes, hair caps, hair spray bottles, lip balm tubes, lotion bottles and jars, lip glosses, eye liner pencils and cases, eye shadow and eye tubes, concealer tubes, concealer sticks, and other items.

When they brought this program to Canada they effectively became the first major retailer in the country to offer this sort of arrangement. That is offering a recycling program for beauty items from all brands, for hard-to-recycle packaging.

This option that is available is something that gives women in Canada a lot of convenience when they want to find an effective way to dispose of those items, they just drop it into the BEAUTYCYCLE boxes that are found in the beauty department.

Another retailer, The Body Shop in Canada, also offers an easy way to make more environmentally friendly choices with their Return, Recycle, Repeat recycling service. The Body Shop enables Canadians to engage in a recycling refill program, the first of its kind that was launched in the Pacific Centre store in Vancouver.

You can fill the product, like shower gel, and once you are done with it you bring it back and refill it again.
