Make a Difference Sale Going Virtual This Year

The Make a Difference Sale 2021 is expected to go virtual this year, along with a wide number of other events, award shows, television shows, and festivals that have done the same since COVID-19.

The Make a Difference Sale is an auction in Abbotsford, B.C., that is held on an annual basis. The event is designed to help raise funds for world hunger, which goes to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

The event is being held online this year and you can still join to help raise money and support this organization that tackles world hunger.

They have been able to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars in the past through their charitable efforts.

The event is expected to open at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 8 and lasts until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 11.

They will be auctioning off a variety of items including gift baskets, wheels of artisan cheeses, cattle, and more. You also have a few days left if you want to donate your own merchandise or livestock for the auction, up until March 5th to donate.

In the past people have been able to purchase livestock, sporting items, farming supplies, gift certificates, tools, and other items. The funds that get raised have helped to go towards giving to people in countries that have been struggling with drought and other natural disasters, dealing with significant food insecurity issues. The government has also previously matched some of those donations that have been made to the cause.

To date they have raised more than $1.5 million through this event which has been held since back in 2001.
